As the economic crises is deteriorating and worsening economic indicators are being reported daily, resistance to globalization is rising. Most large corporations agree, that globalization has allowed them to position themselves better strategically and introduce their products and services to a wider range of consumers worldwide. Is the working class of the western world sharing the same opinions?

Resistance to globalization has been significantly rising from workers, especially from the western world, who are now not only competing with other workers across the city or state, but across the world. Sentiment is starting to shift in where more and more workers are feeling that globalization is not improving their daily living conditions, rather globalization is stagnating it. As the workers in the western world have to deal with cheap labor from the developing world, sentiment to globalization is deteriorating. In some countries of the world politicians have started calling for new measures to be enacted, that encourages consumers to purchase domestic products. Will these actions cause protectionism to rise again?
